Toyotetsu America, Inc. This project is a demonstration of the efficiency of the Design/Build process. Bristol Group engineered and self-performed excavation, concrete and structural steel for this 1600 ton transfer press foundation. The schedule was maintained in spite of the discovery and correction of unsuitable backfill conditions under the existing slab. Other aspects of this project included the design and drilling of caissons, construction of a conveyor pit, electrical work and water piping and the extension of an existing concrete mezzanine. The project was completed in 76 days, 8 days ahead of schedule.
