This project presented a unique challenge in that it was divided by a federally protected wetland. The site was initially inundated with a tangled labyrinth of undergrowth and damaged, splintered trees, thanks largely to the previous winter’s ice storm. Bristol Group utilized a “land mower” to complete the clearing operations.

In addition to the physical site constraints, Bristol Group was charged with the removal and disposal of a 15,000 cubic yard dumpsite and the import of 20,000 cubic yards of off-site fill material.

In order to accommodate the Owner’s schedule, the project was completed in phases. Like many of Bristol Group’s previous civil construction projects, the construction of a 500-foot long retaining wall was also included in the scope of work.
