Project Superintendent

Bristol Group Inc., an innovative, comprehensive leader for design/build construction has an immediate opportunity available for a highly motivated Project Superintendent.  The Superintendent provides on-site field supervision and technical management for all construction operations.  He/she is accountable for the successful performance and profit of each project.  The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the design build industry, proven experience in managing construction sites, and an ability to make key decisions timely. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain high level of safety in accordance with company and industry standards
  • Establish and maintain high quality standards
  • Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship adheres to quality standards and project specifications
  • In coordination with the Project Manager, ensure all labor, materials, and subcontractors are onsite when required
  • Coordinate and manage on-site construction activities from project set up to completion
  • Continuously monitor the project schedule
  • Direct personnel and subcontractors in the planning and executing of work activities and coordinate phases of construction to avoid delays
  • Accurately submit thorough daily/weekly reports
  • Review and maintain a field set of drawings
  • Manage to the project budget and attain or exceed profit goals
  • Effectively communicate with others, including but not limited to suppliers, customers and employees
  • Appropriately manage existing customer relationships
  • Seek new opportunities in conjunction with Bristol Group’s business development strategies
  • Actively participate in policy and procedure development

 

Desired Skills & Experience

A successful Project Superintendent must have a passion for the industry and the drive to be part of a continuously growing business. Strong preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelor’s of Science in Construction Management or related field and 5-10 years of design/build experience.

Position: Structural Engineer

Representative Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and engineer precast/pre-stressed concrete products, steel, reinforced concrete foundations, and tilt-up concrete for industrial, commercial, and office projects
  • Prepare layouts, sections, shop, and form drawings
  • Generate production piece tickets
  • Generate erection drawings
  • Provide preliminary engineering designs, to include cost effective options, in support of bidding endeavors
  • Work with CAD Drafters to provide conceptual drawings in support of upcoming projects
  • Assist with streamlining and enhancing current engineering practices for the company

Only licensed structural engineers or those near obtaining licensure will be considered for this position. The ideal candidate will have 3 – 5 years prior experience with precast/pre-stressed concrete, tilt-up, and/or cast in place concrete. Experience SolidWorks or StructureWorks is highly favorable. Significant experience with a 3D modeling software & AutoCAD is an absolute necessity.

Position: Civil Engineer

Civil Engineer

Preference will be given to candidates with at least two years of civil design experience. Strong favor will be given to those with a BS in Civil Engineering and AutoCAD competency.

Position: Draftsman

Draftsman

Bristol Group Inc, an innovative, comprehensive leader for design/build construction and precast manufacturing, has an immediate opportunity available for a talented and experienced Architectural Draftsman looking for an immediate opportunity to be a member of an excellent design team. A successful candidate must be proficient with reading and detailing architectural drawings as well as utilizing Microsoft Office and AutoCAD software. The ability to work independently or in collaboration is essential. Critical to this position is detail orientation and the ability to follow through on a described set of objectives.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • 2+ years AutoCAD experience required
  • Computer literacy including Excel required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • A 2-yr technical degree with CAD curriculum, or equivalent and certificate of completion in CAD design from accredited technical institution preferred
  • Experience with SolidWorks, StructureWorks, or other 3D modeling software strongly preferred
