Position: Project Manager

Bristol Group Inc, an innovative, comprehensive leader for design/build construction has an immediate opportunity available for a highly motivated Project Manager with design/build experience.  The Project Manager coordinates all phases of the project cycle including design, estimating, subcontract administration, and construction.  He/she is accountable for the successful performance and profit of each project.  The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the design build industry, proven experience managing multiple activities concurrently, and an ability to make key decisions timely.  The Project Manager position at Bristol Group is a full-time opportunity complete with a competitive salary, full benefits package, and a Lexington, KY based office.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the design/build team to prepare complete and accurate proposals
  • Oversee project buyout process by preparing subcontractor bid packages, negotiating, awarding, and writing subcontracts
  • Manage job cost reporting to project profitability
  • Develop and monitor project schedules utilizing Microsoft Project
  • Manage the project change order process
  • Prepare monthly payment applications
  • Ensure safety and quality control programs are properly maintained
  • Oversee and manage all project staff
  • Facilitate project design process with in-house architects
  • Prepare conceptual budgets quickly and accurately with limited information
  • Manage existing customer relationships
  • Seek new opportunities in conjunction with Bristol Group’s business development strategies
  • Actively participate in policy and procedure development

Desired Skills and Experience

A successful project manager must have a passion for the industry and the drive to be part of a continuously growing business.  Essential to this position is an inherent ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, and vendors in both written and verbal formats.  Strong preference will be given to candidates with a BS in Engineering or related field and 5-10 years of design/build experience

Position: Assistant Superintendent

Bristol Group, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Superintendent with a strong commercial / industrial construction background. This position is responsible for assisting the Superintendent in all aspects of on-site project management including, but not limited to: quality control, jobsite safety, scheduling, monitoring cost, jobsite paperwork, receiving and safeguarding materials, and jobsite cleanliness. Travel may be required for this position.

A strong candidate for this position will have a BS in Construction Management with at least 5 years’ experience.
